Snorekil - Instructions for use

Top mouthguard

  1. Place the top mouthguard in hot water at about 70 - 75 degrees centigrade for approx 20 seconds.
  2. After approx 20 seconds remove the mouthguard using a spoon and quickly shake off the excess water. Ensure that the mouthguard is square in the mouth, press over the top teeth and the gum area. 
  3. In order that the mouthguard fits around the backs of the teeth suck your thumb hard. 
  4. Gently press around the mouthguard with your fingers till the mouthguard fits snugly in place. Note the mouthguard can be reheated and these steps repeated if necessary.
Bottom mouthguard

  1. Place the bottom mouthguard in hot water
  2. Remove the mouthguard using a spoon and quickly shake off excess water. Ensure that the mouthguard is square in the mouth and press around the bottom teeth and gums. 
  3. In order that the mouthguard fits around the backs of the teeth press down with your fingers. 
  4. Press your lips together and mould the mouthguard against the front of your teeth by pressing against your lower lip with your fingers, then press your tongue firmly against the back of your bottom front teeth. at about 70 - 75 degrees centigrade for approx 20 seconds. The mouthguard can be reheated and the steps repeated if necessary. Rinse both mouthguards under cold water.
Connecting both mouthguards

  1. Place the pin into the first notch on the gate system (notch nearest the front of the mouthguard). 
  2. Try the Snorekil on the first night, if snoring is not alleviated then move the pin up a notch and so on until it is alleviated.
    N.B. Be patient and give yourself at least fourteen days to adjust to the Snorekil. On using the Snorekil you find that it works for you, and improves your sleep.
Dental information

You should only use Snorekil if you feel able to wear it on your teeth at night. Snorekil should only be used if you have good oral hygiene and do not require dental treatment. Snorekil is not suitable for full or partial denture wearers. If you are in any doubt then you must consult your dentist it is important you read and understand the medical and dental notes on the packaging before use.

Lifetime of your Snorekil 

Snorekil lifetime is between 9 and 12 months. To ensure a smooth functioning of your Snorekil, we recommend to change it at most after 12 months utilisation.  

Cleaning Snorekil

When you wake up, take  the  Snorekil out of your mouth and put it in the  DentureBrite™ vibratory automatic cleaning and scaling system, for 15 minutes. At the end of this procedure, rince the  Snorekil with running water and put it back in its box.
